feilong suggestions on zoundry raven to improve zoundry raven
feilong.org 修订于2009-03-01 04:43:41 387 次浏览As good as Windows live writer,zoundry raven which is an offline blog writing software,has a lot of satisfactory advantages. For example I can download all the entries to my local or mobile hard disk or u disk, start edit or modify an entry locally and offline, apply the blog template or hidden the template, the color distinction between tags,picture archiving resources, links resources,automatically generated links, and so on. All are so good for us zoundry raven bloggers.
But zoundry raven has several deficiencies, which I feilong.org would like to point out. Hope that the development team of Zoundry raven can take these suggestions seriously.
1. Log list: if All logs sum to more than 1000 or 10,000, how can I display my entries quickly so as not to cost my computer's cpu resources? Perhapas it is extremely slow to display.Similarly, links, pictures, and tags, once they are enormous, will be slow still.
Feilong suggestion: Can logs display in sub-directories or pages, such as per page 10, 20 or 30? Or by date or month, the default page is the latest date or the most recent month? Or the categories displayed by the default category designated by the user or the soft itself?
2. Log Filters: All, Today, Yesterday, This week, this month. It seems that category should be one of the basic filter items?
Feilong suggestion: filter by category, this should be basic. If I can filter my entries by month,that will be better.My computer can not bear highly cpu Consumption.
3. About menu: Click the title of an entry, how to do if I want to edit it ? Double-click the title to enter the "Edit" status, or right-click then choose "Edit"menu.But there is a "Open local copy" menu too,what is it means? After carefully analysis feilong came to see:"Open local copy"means that you can edit the entry but need not publish it online.
Feilong suggestion: In order to modify some entry, it is recommended that put the "Edit" button on the main menu bar. Or at least can we have a simple help-book to read?
4. Design editor: features of the design view are very good. Such as spell checking, font settings,tags. publish to multiple blogs,all that basic editing features. Why, where is the option of my permanent link to fill? that is, where to fill the slug of an entyr?Windows live writer does have this feature!
Feilong suggestion: put the slug area on the form to fill the fary URL re-writable. Add: sorry, the slug option is hidden inside of "Settings",but why is it not display appearently?
5.Xhtml Editor: the xhtml editor is very good,too. Such as grammer collation, xhtml code validation,and so on.
Feilong suggestion: whether to Streamlining the Code of xhtml? It will been perfect Ha.
