install oscommerce 2.2rc2a easily correctly
电子商务 = 2009622 ~ 2009619 feilong.orgosCommerce is a free shop e-commerce open source under the GNU General Public License.And the stable edition suitable in PHP v3+ Server Requirements is oscommerce 2.2rc2a.oscommerce 2.2rc2a was Released on 30th January 2008 .But I wonder why osCommerce group didn’t tell us how to install oscommerce obviously?

1.Where is the installation documents of oscommerce?Just <documentation.pdf> in the ‘oscommerce-2.2rc2a.zip’ .
2.Which files should I upload to my web hosting? Just the files under the ‘catalog ‘folder!
Then follow feilong to install commerce 2.2rc2a easily and correctly.
1. Create a new database via cpanel,write down the database name,username and password.No cpanel?Ask your hosting company for the database!
2. Download oscommerce 2.2rc2a.zip from oscommerce.com.Commonly,you should search and download your own language package as well.
3. unzip oscommerce 2.2rc2a.zip and have a look at the files,especially the ‘ documentation.pdf ‘and the ‘catalog‘ folder.
4. I want to install oscommerce at jinxu99.com,so I upload the files under ‘catalog’,via cpanel.If you upload files via FTP,you should use acsii mode. If you want to install oscommerce at jinxu99.com/catalog for example,upload the ‘catalog’ folder to the root of your website.
5. The permissions of the folders should be 755, if that does not work then set them to 777. Make sure that the includes/configure.php file and the admin/includes/configure.php file are set to 777 when installing. Once the install is complete reset to 644, 444, or 400 depending on your server setup.
6. Input ‘yourdomain.com/install’ at the address bar.Now the installation begins ha-ha!
7.DB ‘localhost’,db name,username and password. Do not enable SSL, elect to store sessions in the database and not files (untick the box), and do not enable persistent connections.
8. After the install create a folder called ‘backups’ inside the ‘admin’ folder (via FTP), and delete the install folder. Reset permissions on the ‘/configure.php’ and ‘admin/includes/configure.php’
9. login the admin panel of your oscommerce 2.2rc2a,change your password.
